RESCUE IN UNDERGROUND FACILITIES
On March 3rd, 2011 MINISTERO dell’INTERNO - DIPARTIMENTO dei VIGILI del FUOCO del SOCCORSO PUBBLICO e della DIFESA CIVILE and the SAVE-ME project organise an event on "Rescue in underground facilities".
The event will take place in Rome, at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi premises. [kmz-download]

Italian National Fire Corps (Vigili del Fuoco) Operative Training Center
On January 27th 2011 about 200 children between 6 and 13 years old were involved in a test aimed to assess how the technological devices developed in SAVE-ME could effectively support people (including children, elderly and impaired) in quick and optimal mass evacuation from underground facilities.
The test was organized by the Italian National Fire Corps (Vigili del Fuoco), IES Solutions, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the University of Stuttgart.
Preliminary results of the test will be presented at the event on “Rescue in underground facilities” which will take place in Rome, at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi premises on March, 3rd 2011.

Fire protection and safety in tunnels
On 26-27 October 2010 SAVE ME issues were presented at the 2nd annual conference on "FIRE PROTECTION AND SAFETY IN TUNNELS" which aimed at exploring key innovations for designing, implementing and upgrading tunnel fire safety:
